You may be in a yoga class and hear the teacher using Sanskrit words for different aspects of body, mind & soul exercises. IDA - nadi that runs along the left symphatetic connected to the left nostril


INDRA - the god of rain, the lord of devas, heavenly beings


INDRYA - agent, sense organs
- KARMA INDRIYAS - five agents of actions: speech, hands, legs, excretion, and generation
- JNANA INDRIYA - five agents of perception: hearing, touch, sight, taste, and smell


ISHTA DEVATA - personal God, the chosen ideal


ISHWARA - the Lord, the Cosmic Self, the Supreme Ruler


ISHWARA PRANIDHAN - devotion to Lord


ISHWARA TATTVA - principle of the Cosmic Self (see also "tattva")
