The International Day of Peace, declared by the United Nations as a global call for ceasefire and non-violence is observed every year on 21st September.
Yoga in Daily Life representative has participated at the first day of the High-level Plenary Meeting of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly. Heads of States, joined by leaders from civil society organizations, foundations and the private sector, will meet at the United Nations from 20 to 22 September to spur collective action against extreme poverty, hunger and disease.

Edinburgh experienced a unique and historical event this morning. In keeping with the United Nations Declaration of the 21st September as International Peace Day, Edinburgh had its first WORLD PEACE TREE planted by His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda Ji in the presence of a truly international audience.
