Ancient trees at risk in Strilky Ashram
The Střílky Yoga in Daily Life Centre is located in a village in the beautiful hills of rural Czech Republic, surrounded by incredible features of nature.
Vishwaguruji and his yoga master (guru) Hindu Dharmsamrat Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavanandaji (see more: Spiritual Lineage) have visited this amazing place many times and illuminated the entire land with subtle spiritual energy. Additionally, yoga aspirants have been practising yoga and meditation here for more than 40 years.
Střílky Ashram is set in a castle estate with grounds that were established at the end of the 19th century when the original baroque layout of the park was rebuilt into a romantic landscape with lakes. The entire park is characterised by great biodiversity and includes more than 100 large established trees, some of which are more than 100 years old.
Unfortunately, due to the effects of the changing climate, the trees in the ashram park are at risk of suffering, with their ongoing health in danger, and they need professional care. Therefore Vishwaguruji pointed out that these trees, which provide shelter for yoga practitioners, now need our protection.
“The tree is considered sacred. It gives its shade and brings sweet fruit to all. The tree does not cling to its fruits, nor withholds them from those who throw stones on it. It offers its fruits to all, no matter into whose hands they fall. Look at our majestic trees. We can peacefully enjoy under their shade. Now the trees of Strilky Ashram need our help to keep them healthy and prolong their life. With your donations, we can provide proper professional care.”
