Hindu Spirituality Conference in Edinburgh/UK
The Hindu Spirituality Conference held in Edinburgh, United Kingdom was conducted under the auspices of the Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council, in association with Yoga in Daily Life United Kingdom and in collaboration with Neill Walker local organiser of Edinburgh.
The conference was led by distinguished Hindu spiritual leaders from the around the globe including H.H. Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda founder of the System Yoga in Daily Life, Sri Swami Nirliptananda Maharaj founder of London Sevashram Sanga, Sri Swami Amarananda of the Geneva Ramakrishna Order and Sister Jayanti of the Mount Abu Brahma Kumari World Spiritual University.
The purpose of the conference was to learn about and explore the roots, contemporary expressions, challenges, opportunities and issues of Hindu Spirituality and to provide a forum for mutually open and respectful enquiry among the revered spiritual teachers, learned scholars and spiritual practitioners.
An array of elevating discourses were given by these most learned spiritual teachers on topics that included Responsibility in a Changing World, by Sister Jayanti; Evolution and Aspects of Hindu Spirituality, by Swami Amarananda Ji; The Difference Between Kirtan and Bhajan, by H.H. Swami Maheshwarananda Ji; and a practical workshop given by Sri Swami Nirliptananda Ji on Guru and Guru Worship where Swami Nirliptananda invited all participants to join with him in an hour-long puja dedicated to the Guru. It was a highlight on which to end an auspicious and inspiring day.
The conference was well attended by over 90 spiritual seekers from the United Kingdom, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, America, Australia, India and the Czech Republic.
