IDY 2023 with Yoga in Daily Life – Part 3
The 9th International Day of Yoga was commemorated in the week of 21st of June and Yoga in Daily Life centres, ashrams, teachers and students celebrated again this year, offering and taking part in free yoga classes, events and public programs in many countries around the world for this special occasion.

India
JAIPUR
On the evening of 21 June, a lecture was organised in the Vishwa Guru Deep Ashram in Jaipur, the presence of His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda Ji Maharaj founder of Yoga in Daily Life.
The opening introduction was given by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gyaneshwar Puri Ji, then the main speaker was Dr Banwari Lal Gaur Ji, retired Vice Chancellor of Jodhpur Ayurvedic University, with translation by Shree Hemant Joshi Ji, retired director of PWD.
A lecture on the importance of yoga was given by Dr Pusplata Garg Ji, from the Yog Sadhana Ashram, Jaipur and concluding remarks were given by professor Kamal Nath Yogi Ji.

JADAN
A yoga class for International Yoga Day was led in Jadan by Swami Niranjan Puri, who has been doing seva in Om Ashram for the last 25 years.

KAILASH
Residents and karma yogis of Kailash Ashram and people of all ages from the local villages, came together to practise yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation on the grounds of the ashram.
Mexico
YIDL Mexico offered free yoga classes on the week of 21 June and organised an online event for the occasion of International Yoga Day. There were 39 yoga participants who enjoyed the benefits of practising the System of Yoga in Daily Life.
Poland
WARSAW
On 17-18 June, YIDL Warsaw celebrated this unique, beautiful holiday that unites everyone at the Yoga-Vege-Ayurveda Festival in Agrykola Park in Warsaw.
On the morning of 18 June, yoga enthusiasts also had the opportunity to participate in the Yoga Day celebrations organised by the Embassy of India.
The main organisers of these two days were the India International Foundation and the Embassy of India. The festival was held under the honorary patronage of the mayor of the Śródmieście District, Mr Aleksander Ferens, and the Capital City of Warsaw. More than a hundred people attended events during the festival.
Romania
ARAD
The celebrations of the International Day of Yoga in Romania started on Friday 17 June with participation at the Yoga Day Arad Festival in the municipal city Arad, where YIDL Romania was present with the yoga session, 'Bari Khatu Pranam is a step towards peace' and a presentational stand. The festival was attended by over 150 participants.
The celebrations continued with free yoga classes during the week between 20-23 June in the cities of Pecica and Nadlac at the Sri Alakhpuriji Ashram. There was also a children's yoga session organised in the Nadlac city park. The IDY programs with Yoga in Daily Life in Romania were attended by over 60 participants.
