Impressions from YIDL seminar in Strilky/Czech Republic
From 20th to 22nd of February 2009 an international seminar of Yoga in Daily Life, led by His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda took place in Strilky/Czech Republic, a beautiful venue with the medieval castle and untouched surrounding nature. About thousand disciples and practitioners of YIDL attended and thus took a short retreat from their daily routine.
Peace of the untouched nature, its mighty trees covered with snow and basking in the sun was an ideal opportunity to look inside oneself and search for the inner peace as well. His Holiness Swamiji spoke about the ancient art of meditation and said that it is the inner dialog with oneself, the key method to the inner self. "If we are having inner conflicts, we cannot achieve inner peace, and without inner peace we cannot have world peace." Meditation is a part of yoga and people throughout the world are using it more and more because they feel the need for inner peace. But ultimately, meditation is a way of knowing and realizing the Divine. The essence of meditation is mantra which is always passed on from a self-realized Master to disciples.
In these blissful days of the seminar the attendees definitely found some inner peace and contentment which all leaving creatures long for.
