Late summer programs with Vishwaguruji continue in Croatia
Late summer Yoga in Daily Life programs with Vishwaguruji continued in the Croatian seaside town of Rijeka, on the Adriatic Coast, with a seminar from 1-10 September 2023.
The Rijeka Yoga in Daily Life Centre had the honour to host an international yoga seminar in the presence of YIDL founder, Vishwaguruji Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, with participants from all over Europe and abroad. This ten-day program followed after two months of YIDL summer retreats in Czechia and Hungary.
Under the umbrella of Yoga in Daily Life Rijeka, the venue has multifunctional purposes, combining profit and non-profit services, to both locals and visitors to this old seaport town. The connecting principles that drive the project are those of sustainable development, creativity and entrepreneurship.
The centre consists of the Hostel Dharma, a vegetarian bistro Tifan Co., and the Yoga in Daily Life Cultural Hall. Together they form a great project in which an industrial complex in the city of Rijeka has been transformed into an oasis of peace, situated by the natural beauty of the Adriatic Sea. The YIDL Rijeka Centre offers cultural and tourist services, vegetarian and vegan food, accommodation in the hostel, and a hall for YIDL classes, recreational programs, workshops and a variety of cultural events.
This project began in 2009 through the vision of a few devotees from Rijeka, and with their hard work and much support from Vishwaguruji and other members of Yoga in Daily Life, 14 years later, the centre was able to host more than 500 participants in this year's international event.
During the seminar, Vishwaguruji gave participants profound insight into the functioning of the energy centres, chakras, and the powers hidden within them that determine our destiny; pointing out that it is a vast subject that needs to be studied again and again. Besides the classical yoga sadhana (practice) led by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vivekpuri from Zagreb, participants also enjoyed swimming in the Adriatic Sea in the company of Vishwaguruji.

On the occasion of celebrating the Day of Jewish Culture, on Sunday 3rd of September, Vishwaguruji was a guest of honour at the Rijeka Synagogue, where he spent a beautiful evening in dialogue with representatives of the Jewish community.
Days filled with sun, sea, yoga and Vishwaguruji’s lectures pass quickly, but the fulfilment of the hearts of all who were there will linger for a long time.
