Opening of Villach Ashram

After almost 20 years "Yoga in Daily Life" has found a new location in Villach.

On 21 February 2014, during a weekend Yoga Seminar led by Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, founder and author of the system "Yoga in Daily Life", the new ashram at 4 Stefan-Moser-Strasse was solemnly blessed and inaugurated by Swamiji.

With great joy the local bhaktas received the eternal light from the altar in Mahaprabhuji Ashram in Vienna to light the flame of the new altar in Villach.

Many students from Austria and surrounding countries, who had heard about the new Yoga Center, came to celebrate the opening together with local organisers, teachers and students.

Swamiji emphasized that this Yoga Center – as well as all other "Yoga in Daily Life" centers and ashrams around the world – is open for us and our friends at any time, as a place of peace, meeting, recreation and spiritual development.

On the day of the Opening the sky gave us snow; then the next day we had glorious weather with breath-taking views of the Carinthian mountains, freshly covered in radiant white.

The seminar ended with all participants having spent a wonderful time in the new, bright and friendly Swami Maheshwarananda Ashram in Villach, full of inspiration from Swamiji's lectures.
