Specialised Yoga Teacher Seminars with Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vivekpuri
The Yoga in Daily Life System stands out for its distinctive feature of being instructed by qualified yoga teachers who possess expertise not only in the physical practices such as asanas and pranayama, but also in the profound teachings of ancient Vedic scriptures, with an understanding of the spiritual foundations of Yoga.
Continuous learning and spiritual growth are central to the intentions of Yoga in Daily Life teachers. Recognising the vastness of knowledge that the author of the Yoga in Daily Life System, Vishwaguru Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puriji, has encapsulated within this system, specialised seminars are organised for Yoga in Daily Life teachers regularly. These seminars serve as opportunities for YIDL teachers to update and enhance their knowledge of asanas, pranayamas, meditation, and other authentic yoga techniques, ensuring they can effectively teach and inspire their students.
In Spring 2024, two specialised seminars for YIDL teachers took place in Europe, at Strilky Ashram in Czechia, and in Budapest, Hungary, led by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vivekpuri from Croatia. Swami Vivekpuri brought four decades of his own experience and research as a YIDL teacher to share in these programmes. His profound understanding of yoga, coupled with his expertise in anatomy and chakras (energy centres), offered participants a unique perspective on the yoga practice. Swami Vivekpuri's precise performance of asanas and insightful explanations left a lasting impact on all present.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vivekpuri started practising yoga at a very young age and has dedicated his life to sharing the knowledge and benefits of yoga with others. He has been Vishwaguruji's disciple since 1984 and is an active teacher of the Yoga in Daily Life System. Through the blessings of Vishwaguruji, he was initiated as a swami at the Kumbha Mela in Allahabad, India in 2007, and in 2013 he was initiated with the title of Mahamandaleshwar by the Maha Nirvani Akhara (a spiritual order of Hindu monks), acknowledging his dedicated work in promoting yoga and the Indian culture of Sanātana Dharma.
Swami Vivekpuriji is dedicated to teaching yoga in Croatia on a daily basis and also leads special programmes at centres of Yoga in Daily Life in Europe, Canada and the USA. His ability to translate the complex into the simple, the impossible into the doable, while interpreting the science of yoga in a concise, humorous and relevant way, inspires many.
