Gurupurnima Message of Vishawaguruji

On the 7th full moon of the year, we celebrate Gurupurnima, when all spiritual seekers and yoga aspirants honour their Guru, their spiritual teacher. This year, Gurupurnima was celebrated in Strilky in Czechia, where many yoga students gathered to honour Vishwaguruji and made a sankalpa (spiritual resolution) in front of their Guru for the next year. Please read the full article on vishawaguruji.org

The Gurupurnima day is celebrated according to the lunar calendar and it is said that there is a spiritual constellation and energy not only on the day of the full moon and on the day of Gurupurnima, but a few days before and after as well.

On the day prior to Gurupurnima, 23rd of July, two yoga students, long time disciples of Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranandajid received sannyas diksha – a traditional ceremony through which they became initiated as swamis, spiritual renunciates or monastics.
