Waterway clean-up (Mosoni Danube River)
On 30th March 2014, practitioners of the Győr-Moson-Sopron Association of Yoga in Daily Life (YIDL-GyMS) organised a local waterway clean-up programme along the bank of the Mosoni Danube River, a tributary of the Danube in Hungary, and accomplished it with the support and acknowledgement of the Municipal Services Bureau of Győr.
This initiative has been made in alignment with the voluntary commitments entitled: "Awareness & Action: Peace Conferences, Tree Plantings, Clean-ups, & Vegetarianism", as pledged by Yoga in Daily Life International Fellowship and Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council on the occasion of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) in 2012; further contributing to YIDL’s endeavours to stop environmental degradation and to live sustainably in harmony with Mother Earth.
