Weekend-Seminar in Rijeka, Croatia
Weekend workshop - "How Yoga in Daily Life can help with the spine and joints problems "
Prof. Martin Repko PhD, head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University Hospital in Brno, Czech Republic and long-established teacher of “Yoga in Daily Life”, held a weekend workshop in the Croatian coastal town of Rijeka from 4-6 April 2014.
The workshop began with an introduction to the basic theory of orthopaedic diseases and the anatomy and physiology of the spine.
It continued with a series of practical and theoretical lectures through which the participants, by applying the exercises and techniques of the system “Yoga in Daily Life”, might learn how to:
- stretch and align the spine;
- prevent disorders of the spine;
- make the joints more flexible;
- make the joints more aligned or centered.
Working in small groups allowed an individual approach to all participants, and in this pleasant atmosphere, the workshop provided a detailed and complex insight into the possibilities of both preventing spinal problems, as well as ways of treating the spine and joints, through the system "Yoga in Daily Life”.
As a long-term senior teacher of the “Yoga in Daily Life” system, and also as an orthopedic specialist, Dr. Martin Repko has scientifically confirmed, through a series of examples, that the practical application of exercises done according to the system “Yoga in Daily Life”, can bring real success in:
- the prevention and treatment of disorders of the spine and joints;
- preservation of health;
- improvement of overall quality of life.
